Editor's Note

AFTER OCTOBER is a four-song English-language EP by Gilbeott about the time it takes for the heart to understand change. Fading autumn light, city streets in the rain and water moving beneath winter snow connect its four songs into a journey from an unnamed absence toward the first signs of renewal.

“No One Went Away” finds a sense of loss in a world where everything appears unchanged. “I Lost You in October” follows a September goodbye whose meaning comes into focus in October. In “November Lights,” memory still accompanies the narrator, but no longer turns them back. “When Morning Finds December” closes the EP with a blue morning sky and water flowing beneath the snow, suggesting that something can begin while winter still remains.

Across these changing landscapes, the past gradually takes a different shape, and the heart begins to make room for another morning.
